J.B.CARR DIAMOND TROPHY 2019
Woodenbridge Golf Club have great pleasure to once again, invite your Club to enter the 2019 All Ireland J.B.Carr, Diamond Trophy Competition. To this end we now enclose an application form which we would be most obliged if you could complete and return no later than the 28th February 2019.
The J.B.Carr Diamond Trophy is now one of the largest competitions in the Golfing calendar year and we in Woodenbridge wish to record our deep appreciation to all of the Clubs and teams who have entered. A record number of Clubs competed in 2018 which bears testimony to the underlying values of this competition which promotes playing with honour, in a friendly, yet competitive manner, and of course very much enjoying the social occasion that naturally ensues.
The entry fee of €180.00 (made payable to Woodenbridge Golf Club) is to accompany the enclosed application form and we look forward to receiving your entry as soon as possible. Also enclosed is a copy of the 2019 Competition Rules and format. It is planned that the 2019 competition draw will be made in early March 2019. All participating Clubs will be advised of the draw results by email and these draw results will also be available on the Woodenbridge Golf Club Web site:-
Last year the four Provinces were represented at the J.B.Carr National Finals by Provincial Champions, Ballybofey & Stranorlar, Templemore , Portumna & the K Club. Woodenbridge were again delighted to host the finals weekend in early September when Templemore got the better of Ballybofey & Stranorlar to take third place and The K Club came out on top of runners-up Portumna, in an exciting final to become the very worthy 2018 All Ireland Winners.
We will acknowledge receipt of your entry fee in March 2019 and issue you with the Inter Club Draw and Inter County Draws with the associated match deadline dates. The 2019 National Finals will be held in Woodenbridge on the weekend of the 31st August and 1st September 2019.
